Privacy Statement

Any personal information (name, address, credit card number, etc.) you submit to this site will be used only in accordance with your wishes. It will not be sold or transferred to others without your permission but it may be used to contact you about opportunities, materials, or whatever else I might be promoting unless you specifically ask me not to.

If you send an e-mail with any personal information it will not be used except to the extent required by that e-mail or subsequent events you initiate. If you send an e-mail and do want your information added to one or more of my lists for distribution you should explicitly state that I can make your information available for one or more of the following categories:

If you allow me to make your information available to other vendors, you should be aware that I will NOT be able to stop the future use of your info after it is transferred to one or more other vendors BUT I will be able to stop future transfers from me if you so request.

James E. White & Assoc. "mailings" can be either electronic or postal. For-profit mailings would be ones where I stand to make a profit if you respond positively to the offer or ones where I am being paid to send you an "ad" (which may be disguised as a friendly e-mail). An announcement of publication of my next book is an example of a for-profit item. If I send you a mailing which someone has paid me to send you, you can rest assured that the paying vendor will NOT have contact information for you (at least not from me) unless you respond to their offer.

An FYI mailing is one where I am quite unlikely to make a profit (you never know where honest back-scratching will lead) but which provides you some information that I think will be useful to you. Notifying you of a new government site for inventors is an example. Again, I will not provide your information to any organization that is associated with the information.

I AM UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO IDENTIFY WHETHER A MAILING FROM ME IS FOR-PROFIT OR FYI AND THE INCLUSION OF TEXT SUCH AS "FYI" OR "FOR YOUR INFORMATION" IN A MAILING WILL NOT BE AN INDICATION THAT IT IS NOT A FOR-PROFIT MAILING. I HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORDING OF OTHER VENDORS.

If past experience is a good guide it is unlikely you will be pestered with mail or e-mail more than 2 or 3 times a year and each time you will have the opportunity to opt-out.
